Background
A customer in K-12 Unified School District has been looking to proceed with a district-wide deployment of Cisco-based VoIP system. The equipment to be installed included Cisco 2U rackmount Catalyst 3560 POE Switch, 2U rackmount UPS unit, and 2U rackmount battery pack. The sites included one MDF (Main Distribution Frame) site and multiple IDF (Intermediate Distribution Frame) sites at each school within the district.

Challenges
This model is comprised of a backplate, two side panels, a bottom fan tray, front cover and locking top cover.

Solution
BHL MiniRaQ™ which can be mounted on a wall or in a 2-post rack was easily installed on the closet wall at each IDF location. Cisco switch, UPS and battery pack were rapidly deployed in vertical shelf and power was applied to all devices. Depending on additional requirements in each critical location and to guarantee the highest level of availability for the networking equipment, the MiniRaQ™ offered mounting of optional accessories such as automatic transfer switches, rackmount powerstrips, and patch panels.
